Supporting one person takes a coordinated team.

Every day, therapists and support professionals develop thoughtful recommendations that have the potential to transform someone's quality of life.

But those recommendations only change lives when everyone supporting that person understands them and knows how to put them into practice safely and consistently.

That's where SensePlanner comes in.

SensePlanner brings occupational therapists, behaviour support practitioners, support workers, supervisors and families together around one clear objective:

Turning sensory assessment into structured, individualised support.

More than an activity library.

SensePlanner isn't simply a collection of sensory activities. It's a shared workspace where everyone supporting the same person can:

Discover meaningful sensory activities.
Build personalised sensory programs.
Create weekly schedules.
Share practical guidance with support workers.
Record responses.
Review progress.
Continuously refine support.

Everything stays together in one place.

Designed for everyone supporting the same person.

Whether you're an:

Occupational Therapist
Behaviour Support Practitioner
Speech Pathologist
Physiotherapist
Support Worker
House Supervisor
Team Leader
Family Member

SensePlanner helps the whole team understand what works, why it works and how to deliver more successful, safer sensory experiences together.

Structured. Personalised. Shared.

Professional use & safety

SensePlanner is designed for use by occupational therapists to assist in guiding the teams involved in supporting people with complex sensory needs. Sensory assessment and intervention carry clinical and safety considerations, and the tool is intended to operate within a therapist-led support model.

Other allied health and health professionals with significant, demonstrated experience in sensory assessment and intervention are welcome to contact us to request permission to use SensePlanner.

If you are not an occupational therapist, or your team does not have one involved, we recommend โ€” for safety reasons โ€” that you involve an accredited occupational therapist. SensePlanner can introduce an OT to set everything up for your family member or client. Find out more about getting OT support.

Our philosophy

We believe sensory support is about much more than managing behaviours of concern.

It is about helping people discover experiences that bring comfort, participation, confidence and genuine joy.

When people have regular access to sensory experiences that truly suit their individual preferences, they often become calmer, more engaged and more willing to participate in everyday life. Reduced behaviours of concern are frequently a natural outcome rather than the primary goal.

That philosophy is embedded throughout SensePlanner.

Created by an Occupational Therapist.

SensePlanner was developed by Geoff Ellery, Occupational Therapist, following more than three decades of clinical practice supporting children and adults with disability.

Every activity, every feature and every workflow has grown from real clinical experience and has been designed to help occupational therapists guide the entire support team to work together more effectively and safely.
