Hello, SensePlanner aims to bring more joy into the lives of those with profound disability. Sensory work is often the key that unlocks what 'joy' is for this complex group. It has grown out of more than 30 years of Occupational Therapy practice supporting people with complex disability and the teams around them. Every activity and every feature has been designed with one question in mind: "Will this bring more joy into the lives of those with profound disability and will it make everyday support easier and better for families and support workers?" If you think this may be useful to the families you support, watch our short introduction—and, if you believe it could help others, consider sharing it .. ▶ Watch the 2-minute introduction Warm regards, Geoff Ellery SensePlanner

Helping students stay connected with contemporary disability practice
OT/SW Melb/Syd

Dear Colleague, Every year, universities and training organisations prepare the next generation of Occupational Therapists, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Speech Pathologists and Support Workers for careers supporting people with disability. One of the greatest challenges is ensuring students graduate with an understanding of not only the theories they learn in the classroom, but also how contemporary practice is evolving in the real world. The disability sector continues to change rapidly. Expectations around person-centred practice, Positive Behaviour Support, evidence-informed intervention, multidisciplinary collaboration and quality of life continue to evolve, making it increasingly important that students remain connected with current approaches to practice. Contemporary frameworks emphasise translating evidence into everyday practice and continually improving supports. That was one of the motivations behind developing SensePlanner . Created following more than 30 years of clinical practice as an Occupational Therapist—and having worked through the evolution of disability services from institutional care to community-based support—SensePlanner was designed to demonstrate how sensory knowledge can be translated into meaningful, person-centred everyday practice. Rather than simply providing another activity library, SensePlanner demonstrates how multidisciplinary teams can: • Translate assessment findings into practical supports. • Create personalised sensory activity programs. • Support consistent implementation across teams. • Monitor responses and continually refine interventions. • Focus on participation, engagement, quality of life and meaningful outcomes. I believe exposing students to contemporary clinical tools and innovative models of practice helps bridge the gap between university education and professional practice. I'd be delighted to offer your staff or students a brief online demonstration of SensePlanner and discuss how it may complement teaching in Occupational Therapy, Behaviour Support, Allied Health or Disability Support programs. ▶ Watch our short introductory video to see how SensePlanner is helping translate sensory knowledge into everyday practice. Thank you for the important role you play in preparing tomorrow's disability professionals. Warm regards, Geoff Ellery SensePlanner Occupational Therapist Founder – SensePlanner

Dear Colleague, Every Behaviour Support Practitioner has experienced it. You complete a thorough Functional Behaviour Assessment, develop a Positive Behaviour Support Plan, identify meaningful proactive strategies… and then hope those strategies are consistently implemented by everyone supporting the person. Unfortunately, that isn't always what happens. Support workers change. Families become busy. Good ideas are forgotten. Even excellent behaviour support plans can be difficult to translate into everyday practice. That was the inspiration behind SensePlanner. After more than 30 years as an Occupational Therapist supporting people with complex disability—and having been involved in the early transition from institutional care to community living—I wanted to create a practical tool that helps multidisciplinary teams turn great ideas into everyday practice. SensePlanner helps Behaviour Support Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, support workers, supervisors and families work together to turn sensory knowledge into practical, everyday experiences that improve quality of life. Rather than simply providing another activity library, SensePlanner enables your team to: • Access more than 300 meaningful sensory activities. • Create personalised sensory support programs. • Develop practical weekly sensory schedules. • Equip support workers with clear guidance they can confidently implement. • Gather feedback about what is working. • Continuously refine sensory supports over time. At its heart, SensePlanner is built on a simple belief. Positive Behaviour Support is not only about reducing behaviours of concern. It is about creating better lives. When people have regular access to sensory experiences that genuinely match their individual needs, they often experience greater comfort, increased participation, improved regulation and a better quality of life. Reduced behaviours of concern frequently become a natural consequence of better support rather than the sole objective. This reflects contemporary Positive Behaviour Support, which emphasises person-centred practice, quality of life and consistent implementation across the entire support team. I'd love to show you how SensePlanner works. ▶ Watch our short introductory video to see how SensePlanner helps Behaviour Support Practitioners turn great plans into meaningful everyday practice. If what you see resonates with your approach, I'd be delighted to arrange a free 15-minute online demonstration; Book Now Online SensePlanner has been developed through more than 30 years of clinical practice—not by software developers, but by someone who has spent a career working alongside people with complex disability, their families and the teams that support them. Warm regards, Geoff Ellery Occupational Therapist Founder – SensePlanner

Everyone deserves moments like this. Transform sensory assessment into joyful everyday experiences. Hi There, Occupational Therapists invest considerable time understanding sensory preferences, writing reports and recommending strategies. The challenge is helping those recommendations become meaningful experiences that support workers and families can confidently use every day. With the NDIS changing rapidly, this practical implementation role is becoming an increasingly important part of our work. That is why I created SensePlanner —a practical, visual and tactile platform that helps therapists turn sensory assessment findings into individualised activity programs designed around each person's preferences, regulation needs and capacity for participation.◌ Why therapists are using SensePlanner ✓ Create personalised sensory activity programs in minutes. ✓ Access more than 300 engaging sensory activities . ✓ Match activities to individual sensory preferences. ✓ Select activities according to Green, Orange and Red Zones . ✓ Create simple weekly sensory schedules. ✓ Share concise sensory profiles with support workers and families. ✓ Turn assessment recommendations into everyday practice. SensePlanner is built on a simple belief: sensory intervention is not only about reducing behaviours of concern. It is about helping people experience more comfort, engagement, participation and joy. When activities genuinely suit the person, improved regulation and fewer behaviours of concern may follow naturally.
