Adding Custom Activities
We recommend you hold off on creating custom activities until you are familiar with adding activities to the client’s activity schedule from the SensePlanner database. Then these instructions will be much easier to understand.
- Click on ‘Add New” on the clients Sensory Activity Schedule
- Click on ‘Add Custom Activity.’
- In the activity name field insert the name of your activity followed by the initial of your first name, in brackets.
- You can include details of the activity in the Description field. You can paste images into the Image field (using the control-v keyboard short cut.)
- Submit the activity.
- Return to the clients Sensory Activity Schedule.
- Click Add New where you want to place your custom activity.
- Click on ‘Search and Add More Activities’
- Then select ‘Custom’ and then ‘Search.’
- From the list of activities find your activity and select it.
- Then go to the top of the page and press ‘Copy Selected Records to Sensory Diet.’
- Now return to the clients’ Sensory Activity Schedule and select ‘Add New.”
- Then click on the main Activity field to reveal the list of available activities you can choose from.
- Scroll through until you find the custom activity you have just created.
- Select this then the time of day you want the activity to occur then press ‘Submit.’
- The custom activity will be displayed in the weekly timetable.
